Nick broke up with Miley.  They don't talk anymore.  I think Miley might still like Nick, but they are definitely no longer together.

I don't know if it is, but they broke up because Miley's ego got in the way. Plus she wanted their relationship to be public, and he didn't. If you didn't know by now, she lives for fame and attention, and will do practically anything to get it. But Nick is way more private, and knows when to be public, and when to be private. With Miley, there's no difference (that's why she "leaked" her pictures all over, then said it was a mistake that she'll learn from. Unfortunately for her, she'll never learn, because she loves attention way too much.

They were dating for a while and Nick never wanted to come out with the news.  Finally Miley got sick of keeping it a secret, thinking he didn't care about her enough to tell the public (and rightly so). So she broke up with him.  I see his side because its the same thing with a lot of young male celebs -- they think they'll get more appeal if they seem single. But on the other hand, if you're in a relationship for 2 years and you havent told people, it gets frustrating.

Well, apparently, according to Seventeen magazine, Miley and Nick broke up because they were constantly fighting and arguing about keeping their relationship private. I am sure there are other reasons, but nobody knows but them.

Miley stated that the song isn't about Nick, and only she knows who it's meant to be about. But she stated this before she told the world and Seventeen magazine that she really used to date Nick Jonas.

Also before this, E! News interviewed the Jonas Brothers and asked Joe if he was dating Demi Lovato and he stated "No". Then Nick Jonas was asked If he was dating Selena Gomez and he said "No, we are just friends", then he was asked if Miley's song, 7 things, is about him and he said "Well my friends aren't jerks, I don't think, so surely it can't be about me".

But that is about all the evidence we have to make any conclusion if the song was really about him.
