What is the size of the background of a Myspace page?

i want to set a picture i have saved on my computer to fit the entire background of my Myspace page

There's really not a set size.  It depends on the person that's viewing your page's monitor, and their set resolution.

There is no "set" size for MySpace backgrounds, but according to recent surveys the most popular screen resolution is 1024x768.

Some people use smaller sizes and some larger so put a little note somewhere on your page stating "This page is best viewed at 1024x768" and you'll be fine!
