  1. it's basically a triangle. the "slant" would be the hypotenuse of a triangle. use pythag. theorem :a^2 + b^2= c^2 . 3^2 + 4^2 = c^2. The answer should be 5.


  2. That is so simple, you have a right angel triangle with base equal to 3 and height is 4, then the slant height will be

    H = (3^2 +4^2)^1/2 = (25)^1/2 = 5
