  1. The standard linear equation in slope form is:

    y = mx + b      

    where m is the slope of the equation and b is an unknown constant.

    If you have two points on a line, (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) then the slope m is computed as follows:

    .......y2 - y1

    m = ----------

    .......x2 - x1


  2. m= (y2-y1) / (x2-x2)

    or if you're looking for point slope formula its

    y=mx+b
