  1. A good trick: Slope="rise"/"run"=y/x

    Rise = change or difference of  the y coordinates

    Run = change in the x

    So change in y is

    Change in x is 9/2 - (-3)=7.5

    Change in y is 2 - (-3/2) =3.5

    So slope is 3.5/7.5

    slope=.47

  2. Slope = deltaY / deltaX = (-3/2 - 2) / (-3 - 9/2) = -7/2 / -15/2

    Slope = 7/15
