  1. none, because thats not suitable for any fish yata yata yata

  2. Same here, not suitable and all that jazz.

A sparkling gourami. Tiny little fish with the ability of breathing air from the surface.

  3. il say the same thing,

most people will say none, because thats not suitable for any fish yata yata yata , but before i put my male betta in a suitable home (1.5 gallon filtered tank), i had him in a 1 gallon bowl for a year, now that hes in a filtered tank, hes never had any problems, and now hes over 2 years old, which is pretty good id say, and i expect him to live for much longer now. if u plan on gettin a fish, i would get a betta, and a betta only (male or female, but only one if gender), and if possible, upgrade to anything bigger with a filter, so that they can live as long as possible... good luck with it

  4. I would say a betta but they are NOT the smallest. Only buy ONE because they are VERY aggressive with other betta. It doesn't matter if it's a male or female, they will KILL each other.

  5. Get a betta. They aren't the 'smallest' but they have special breathing mechanisms that allow them to live in smaller areas of water. If it's for a school project, I suggest getting a betta. The cheapest one you can get will cost you about $3.

I've done it before and my betta has lived almost a year. It would've lived longer except I left the top open and it jumped out. (I was an idiot about fish care back then :P)

So if can certainly be done.

    I hope this helps!

  6. There's still nothing suitable. You need a proper filtered tank for fish. Schools should not be encouraging experimenting on fish.

"Small" fish like bettas live a lot longer than 2 months. Bettas at 4-5 years, guppies at 4-8 years, neon tetras at 8-10 years. Annual killifish only live for a year, you'd have to go to a killifish society to get them though.
