What is the smallest pool you can swim in, and still improve your stroke?

I want to be a olympic swimmer when i'm older, and my mum is getting a pool built, what is the smallest pool i can practise swimming in. I want to improve

  1. An ideal pool would probably be 25 yards long, but if you have jets installed so that they push you back (like the Endless Pool idea) then you can get away with a slightly smaller pool, but once you become a stronger swimmer the jets won't push you back anymore, and with the endless pool idea you won't be able to practice turns which are very important.

  3. Yeah check out an ENDLESS POOL-

    they are made just for that reason!

    Very small size, but you can swim virtually forever.

    (however you cant work on dives and turns)

  4. Well Ideally an Olympic sized swimming pool but that's a bit unrealistic so 25 to 16 meter would work. That way you'd still have the time to focus on your stroke and you wound get allot more turns in. Just remember you have to practice all parts of your swimming, dives and turns are very very important!!!!
