What is the smallest positive integer c for which (sq. root of a) + (sq. root of b) = (sq. root of c) has a solution in unequal positive integers?

  1. Using the three smallest positive integers...

    1 + 2 = 3

    Sqrt(1) + Sqrt(4) = Sqrt(9)

    So the answer is 9

    Did I miss something?


  2. 1st 1 is correct

       1+2=3

    so, sq1+sq4=sq9

          1+2=3

    since it satisfies the eqn

    so ans is 9:)
