  1. I use a product called "oasis" for arranging flowers fresh, dried or synthetic. I get it at my local craft shop. It comes in blocks that look like styrofoam but it has an amazing capacity to retain water which is great for the fresh arrangements.

    Besides green, it is also available in brown and off-white.


  2. They use styrofoam to secure the stems to make the arrangement as they like and sometimes they'll add artificial moss to hide the styrofoam.
