  1. The song is about Dallas Taylor and how he left the band.

    Another meaning to the song is that it deals with the self doubt and emptiness one might feel when they become christian and having christianity pushed onto young christians

    the song is saying how the person keeps thinking about it and doesn't want to believe but he instead, keeps 'reinventing' him. the exit which is god. like he doesn't want to die and not have an exit but he can kinda feel that it's there.

    he says that god is uninviting and unrewarding. he says that god broke his heart again and is fading out in his life and cross the line when he let him down. here he is talking about how god never intervenes whenever he needs him. and he feels like that is the only thing he needs to believe. so he feels like trapped like he's up against a wall and he could chose to believe or not believe and be a sinner. he picks to believe in the end and is "saved'
