  1. hmm good question..........i guess the speed of light retreating.....so equal to the speed of light?

  2. same as light its just going away is all. like what the speed of your car traveling in the direction it came silly.

  3. arXiv:0707.4480v1

a possible answer to your question could be:

dark is shadow and there is a demarcation line between a region in shadow and the adjacent region in light. under certain experimental conditions that demarcation line could move with super-luminal but not physical speeds as is shown on the link above you could access via google.

  4. Same as the speed of light.  The back end of a light beam travels as fast as the front end, leaving dark behind at the speed of light.

  5. wen several atoms of energy gets reflected to our visionary sense we can visualise the object ..the atoms tat our visionary sense fail to read/perceive we tend to conclude tat the object is absent ...but in theory it is our sight that failed to perceive the object ...so when we say its dark ..its actully our visual defect ...

so maybe in future we might come up wid the theory of speed of dark when our eyes are superior enough to visualise darkness too....

  6. does everything have to be moving. maybe it is nonmovement. maybe it is a reference point so we know we are moving.

  7. Darkness has no speed. Darkness is all around us it even occupies the same space as a photon. Light and Darkness can actually occupy the same immediate close proximity yet you would not be aware of it unless the Photons reflected or refracted off of something else. Darkness exists in all space all of the time. It only appears to be missing when the photons trajectory is being altered due to matter that interferes with its path. In between the virtual particles called photons  is still darkness. It is a little like, looking directly at the sun and hoping to see a distant star that is located behind and to one side of the sun where if the sun light could be canceled out you would still be able to see the distant star off to one side of the Sun. Even in the Darkness of space there is energy that still radiates in all directions in an equal distribution and frequency. That which is still resonating from the initial expansion of this Universe.

  8. a funny question. But not really useful. Darkness does not travel. Darkness is no thing so it does not really have a speed.

You could see it as the speed at which light goes away. Which would be exactly the same as the speed of light.

I would say the speed of dark is 'a nice thing to philosophize about'

  9. Darkness has no speed. Darkness is the absence of light.

  10. The same as the speed of cold, which is slower than heat. (You can catch cold.)

  11. the same as that of light i.e. 300000000 m/s

  12. It is the same  speed as that of lihgt.

Imagine you are bringing the lighted candle into a dark room as the light spreads the darkness receeds. okey

  13. dark exists in the absence of light.  to create dark, you would have to remove light. when you turn off the light source, the light would dissipate that the speed of light.

therefore, one could conclude that the speed of dark is equal to the speed of light.
