There is a difference between para sailing and windsurfing.

Windsurfing is a surface water sport using windsurfing board, called a sailboard.  It is 2-5 meters long powered by a single sail.  Rig is connected to the board by a free rotating flexible joint, called a U-joint.  Windsurfing is steered by the tilting & rotating of mast and sail as well as tilting of the carving board.

Parasailing is where a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a parachute.  The boat drives of, carrying the parasiler into the air.  They have little or no control of the parachute.  5 parts of parasail is harness that attaches the pilot to parasail that is connected to the boat by a tow rope.
