  1. 2 to the second power.

    (( Sorry if incorrect. ))

  2. Sq root of eight

Eight can be factored into 2 and 4

    So sq root (8) = sq root (2) * sq root (4)

You know the sq root of (4) = 2

so the answer is 2*sq root (2)

  3. 2 root 2

This is found because 8 is the same thing as 4 x 2. The square root of 4 is a perfect square and is equal to 2 so that goes outside the square root symbol. The other 2 stays on the inside.

  4. The √8 equals 2√2, which is approximately 2.828427125.

This can be found by factoring out squares (i.e. 1,4,9,16,25) that are multiples of the number being squared.  In this case, 8 is inside the square root.  A square that is a multiple of 8 is 4 (2^2=4).  So divide 8 by 4 to get 2.  Leave 2 inside the square root.  Now since you took 4 out of the square root, you have to √4 to get 2 on the outside.

    √8 = √4 * √2 = 2 * √2 which gives you the answer:

    √8 = 2√2

    Hope this helps!!

  5. + 2.8284 and -2.8284

*** NEVER forget the negative one ***

  6. It is 2.828427125 on my calculator.

If you want a square area of ground you must mesure this length on all 4 sides.

  7. 2*sqrt2

  8. 2√2

  9. 2.8284271

  10. 2.8284271247461900976033774484194

  11. 2√2 or approximately 2.8284.

  12. √(8) = √[(4)(2)] = √(4)√(2) = 2√2

    Hope this helps!
