Are the drive aisles and cars similar to American sizes or more compact?

  1. I found this one interesting.  One reason is because there isn't a standard size parking stall, even here in the US.  It is usually left up to the designer, but there are guidelines set forth by the Institute of Transportation Engineers for the size of parking stalls.  This is an international orginization, so it would make sense that the parameters would be similar anywhere.  The width and length parameters vary based on all sorts of things, is it parallel parking, 45 degree, 90 degree, etc.  Also is the drive aisle behind the stalls one way, two way, etc.

    So while I don't know for sure, I would guess that they would still fall in these guidelines, so therefore be similar in size.  Of course we Americans trend to be extravagant sometimes, so ours could possibly be bigger, although with developers trying to squeeze in every space they can to meet guidelines while making their stores as big as possible, you never know.
