What are some things she would ask a patient, or do. What is the standard procedure when someone is put into an ambulance? In this scenario if the victim had just escaped a fire. What are some things the nurse would first do?

  1. ask there name and if they can hear them test there eyes by asking them how many fingers am i holding up how long were you in the building and also did you breath in any smoke and is anyone else in the building and were it hurts


  2. "Nurse?" Ummm.. ok?!  

    A,B,C's... as in, Airway (is it patent, or do we need to provide one artificaly? Breathing (Are they, or do we need to assist?) Circulation (any major bleeding, blood pressure, etc.).  There is no "standard procedure", as it all depends on the person's injuries or respiratory problems caused by the fire.  This will also depend on the type of fire, how long the person was near the fire, how close to the fire they were, etc.
