  1. If they reposes your car and get less for it at auction than you owe, you still owe the difference.  If you do not pay or file bankruptcy, even if they do not reposes it, you will "never" get the title unless you pay what you owe.

    As far as SOL on the loan, that depends what state you are in.  But if they get a court judgement against you, there is no time limit for them to try to collect that.
