I know its on a serger, but what is that stitch called?

  1. It's a cover stitch.  You can do it with either a serger that has this facility (usually a more expensive 2/3/4/5 thread machine like this: http://www.lasewing.com/1300MDC_Serger.h... or a dedicated cover stitch machine (like this: http://www.thesewingstudio.co.uk/ShowDet...


  2. Some people do a similar-looking stitch on a regular sewing machine with a double needle, but it's very hard to not stretch the fabric while you're doing it.

  3. coverstitch, aka coverhem.  Not all sergers will do it.
