What is the story of citizen kane and tell me little about the character ?

If I remember correctly, it's about this man who grew up to be a successful newspaper mogul or something like that, and throughout his life I think he always wanted more, whether it was through love or career, because he grew up poor.  I think he went power hungry or something til his death.
