What is the storyline behind Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe the game?

I've been hearing a lot about the game "Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe." However, all I have seen is screenshots and the trailer saying stuff on the screen like, "This fall...worlds will collide." So, what is the storyline? Any in depth info would help? Why are these 2 groups fighting? The most info..the better. Thanks!

The MK universe and the DC universe were binded togethor by their most evil characters. Their worlds are going to be destroyed, and both universes believes that the other side is responsible for doing this. So they fight each other. Later on in the game (in story mode) the two universes realize that they are not responsible and find out who is. You go after the villian in a very hard last battle.

You can switch between universes, such as h**l, Gotham City, the Graveyard, etc...

Here's something they don't want you to know.

The DC universal characters have Fatalities

While the MK universe characters have Brutalities.
