What is the strong attraction for people to play "Texas Hold Em"?

The attraction is .... money and power !!!

When you playing for money, you want to beat everyone to be on the top, so u can get the most money... well that's powerful...

To prove that you are the best....

To bluff and then show your cards, so next time you seriously, ... no one would know and they chip all in ... and u win big pot ....

I found that when I play poker, I can be myself, ... I can be very dangerous toward other players if I think ... and if I'm lucky...

well you have to say that It's not hard to learn the rule ... but it'll take you forever to learn the concept ... and all u need is ... hope for the best of luck :D

It only takes 5 minutes to learn and on any single day you can get the cards to beat the best players in the world.  Plus it is hours of entertainment for only a couple of dollars, not many things can offer you that these days.

My advise to you is be patient, play tight, but when you are finally in a hand be agressive.

Have fun!  you might be playing still when you are 75 years old!

Well it`s by far the most popular poker game these days and the main reason is although as someone said it`s easy to learn but there is so much strategy involved as opposed to the old time five card draw and even five or seven card stud.  Omaha has a lot of strategy in it as well but it just never caught on in popular culture and it`s probably because it`s a little harder to learn.  Holdem is king though for sure.
