  1. This is interesting and I answer I wrote many times. ALthough Oxycodone might be more powerful in the sense that it is more intoxicating; Hyrodcodone can actually provide better analgesia. Oxycodone is preferred by pill popping people that want a buzz but me and among 5 other of my pain friends mutually agree that Hydrocodone (And not a Vicodin/ a Lorcet) lasts longer and is more effective for pain. Hydrocodone hits more receptor splices and depending on the individual this may provide better pain relief. Oxycodone is also more mentally addicting. Hydro can be controlled better.

A lot of people might dispute this but a recent thing I also read on Wikipedia is that there is really no evidence the Oxycodone is better and 15mg's of Hydro is like 10 of Morphine.

Now again; interestingly; A Vicodin never did a thing for me, brand name or generic but Lorcet and Lortab works.

Incidentally the 500 and 325 is the milligrams of Tylenol and the 10 and 7,5 is the amount of narcotic.

  2. Simply put- the top number is the mg. of pain medication 10mg hydrocodone bitartrate and 500mg acetaminophen and  .5 mg oxycodone and 325 mg acetaminophen. Some people respond better to hydrocodone other to oxycodone.

I guess the real question is are you speaking of pain management or getting high???

  3. comparably the two are really quite the same.   However Percocet is in a higher class of pain pill than Lortab.  Lortab is hydrocodone and Percocet is oxycodone.  They both have a few strengths and the two you listed just happen to be very close in comparison.  If you had asked about Lortab 5 and Percocet 10 then there would be a big difference.  Does that make sense?
