Well, Saqlain Mushtaq is a cricketer who invented the delivery named 'the doosra'. This is derived from the Hindi/Urdu word 'doosra' which means 'the other one'.

In cricketing context, this term is referred to a delivery where an off-spinner bowls a delivery, and instead of spinning the normal way (with a right-handed off-spinner bowling to a right-handed batsman, the ball spins into the batsman i.e. from offside to legside) the doosra spins the other way (from leg to off) often confusing the batsman. This is because the bowler has a slight change in his wrist action which makes the ball turn the other way which is difficult to pick up for a batsman especially when you are facing Saqlain Mushtaq.

Many off spin bowlers have now used this delivery in their own bowling such as Muttiah Muraltharan.

Saqlain Mushtaq of Pakistan is the inventor of the delivery termed as "Doosra" in cricket.

In Hindi and Urdu, doosra means "second" or "other".

The doosra is the off-spinner's version of the googly.

It looks very similar to a normal off-break, but rather than spin towards the bat, it goes the other way like a leg break.

It's bowled from the back of the hand with a lot of top spin, but the wrist still moves in a clockwise direction.
