i didnt participate in it because it makes absolutely no sense but at a flyers game once this group of drunk guys in front of me started singing fly eagles fly. only to be interrupted by our goal horn, to that which they stood up and started cheering because we scored, completely forgetting they were just chanting an eagles song

I am a hockey nerd.  Once I get drunk, I participate in anything.  I do the wave...unless I am double fisting it.  I high-five.  I clap to the organ "Lets go Lightning" song.  I suppose I should purchase a belly bag soon to complete the ensemble.

Back in JR High I once got to second base at a D-III college game.  I don't do chants.  I am very focused on the actual game.  Until my beer is gone.

At a Kitchener game once, Carlo DiRienzo was back in Kitchener after being shipped to Oshawa, and lets face it, he sucked and we all hated him.  So all of us 6000 in the Aud started up a "BEACHBALL CARLO!" chant.  I still don't know where that came from.

At the Mellon Arena when they had it open for people to watch it on the jumbo tron, there was one guy dressed in a Red Wings jersey, and everybody started chanting "SIT DOWN! SIT DOWN!" yeeeahhh... hahaha

I don't start chants BUT maybe a chant I did some might think is stupid.When I had partial season tix to the Flyers in the mid to late 90s I was aboot 8 rows from the ice down by the one goal and after a goal was scored I would stand up and chant "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT" to the opposing goalie.It was a chant we started at the Philly Wings which was an indoor Lacrosse team.And no I wasn't drunk.

  Ok I admit I have joined in the "Refs you suck!!" chant a few times. Honestly sometime they do but still kind of silly...

     Best chant I participated in... Game 5 of the 2007 finals with 2 minutes left in the 3rd... "We want the Cup - We want the Cup"  it was soooooo fricken loud!!  Awesome
