  1. are you sure that you have 20/100 vision? If you do, you should ask you doctor why. Do you have a lazy eye? Were you born with any eye conditions from pregnancy? Any traumas to your eyes? those are questions that you should as your doctor.

Because you are only 16 yrs old they probably won't do any surgeries yet.

There are a couple of surgeries that they implant a lens into your eyes. One of them is a cataract surgery and I think you are too young for that, the other one is when they implant a contact lens (smaller than a regular one) behind your pupil.

    I hope this helps.

  2. Do you mean intraocular contact lenses? These are really very expensive and not appropriate for everyone.

You are rather young to have refractive surgery. Best to wait until your refraction stabilises in a few years.

  3. at your age...stick with contacts or glasses.  As you age your vision will continue to change...and you will likely end up needing glasses to "fine tune" your vision after surgery.  There is a surgery (still being studied) on implanting a lens...and the lens can be changed w/o major eye surgery.  I am waiting for this to be proven safe, as it sounds like the smartest alternative for long term correction.
