  1. depends

  2. Income tax depends on how much you make.

It runs around 33% average. There is not flat rate.

Of course, if you are really rich you pay tax accountants to find off-shore shelters, etc. to decrease the amount you pay. If you get bad advice you end up like Wesley Snipes and Willie Nelson and owe millions of back taxes.

Unless you are asking about property tax or business taxes. Property tax in California is limited to 1% (thanks to Howard Jarvis and Proposition 13 which spear-headed tax reform across the nation) and business tax varies city to city and can be 6% to 7.75%.

  3. The Washington state sales tax percentage is a fixed 6.5%.

  4. depends where you are and what you are purchasing usually 5.5%

  5. What tax?

    Sales?

that varies by state, and item.

I worked at Walmart in New York and the tax on most items was 7% but clothing was 3%.

some states dont have sales tax.

If you ment some other tax please specify.

  6. What kind of tax rate are you looking for?  Ordinary income tax?  Sales tax?

  7. There are ALL kinds of tax in the US. What kind do you mean?

  8. The total tax burden of all types for people who earn $50,000-100,000 is about 60%.

  9. There is no such thing as "the tax in the USA."

There are numerous kinds of taxes.  Income tax, social security tax, sales tax, inheritance tax, business tax, and numerous other kinds of taxes.

You'll need to be more specific with your question.

  10. your first three months pay belongs to the government. so around 25% but that does not include any health insurance - retirement funds - eye and dental care. at the end you will wind up paying 30 -35% of your earnings to taxes and "BENEFITS"

I would like to add that health insurance should not be called a benifit unless the company pays for it - so if we are gonna call a janitor a custodial engineer we should call benefits "individually paid necessities" or something like that

  11. depends on states..LOSER

  12. http://www.taxadmin.org/FTA/rate/sales.h...

  13. I believe it is about 7 cents to the dollar.

  14. Do you mean sales tax? Property Tax? Personal Property Taxes?

  15. The State of Washington is broken down into Counties, each one has a different sales tax percentage that they charge.  King County, which is where Seattle is located, now charges 9% sales tax.  There are other taxes too, like renting a car, staying in a hotel and depending on your stay, each of those is calculated into the final bill.
