Question:

What is the technical difference between pointing my skateboard truck's kingpins outwards versus inwards?

I've heard of people "reversing" their trucks so the kingpin points outwards instead of inwards (like it was when I bought it) and I wonder, what are the technical differences between the different positionings? I know I can just try it and "feel" for myself but I also like to be pretty scientific about stuff and am quite curious as to what this changes performance-wise etc...
