What is the temperature in Palenque, Mex. during July and August?

Yes, it's hot, but I've been there several times in the summer and it didn't kill me.  Go to the ruins early, then if it gets too hot, go swimming at Misol Ha or Agua Azul.  

If you're going to climb down into the Temple of the Inscriptions, wear shoes with rubber soles.  The steps inside are cool and the air is warm, so the steps get wet like the outside of a cool drink in summer.  I've slipped on those steps.

Hotter than Hades.  It is 86 there today.  I cannot find a site that gives monthl averages there, but, if it is 86 there in Jan., it will be very hot inJuly...It is located in Chiapas at an elevation og 3,000ft...so it will be a bit cooler than down on the beach...like maybe 100 instaed of 110.
