What is the temperature of the olimpic swimming pool? does the temp have to do with how fast somone swims?

just wondering, like is it room temp, hot. cold, what does it do and how does it affect you. i was just wondering cuz i just saw a show about swimmers

  1. I find it much more difficult to swim in warmer water.  Cooler water holds more oxygen, and as you are swimming it can actually seem "easier" to breathe.  To me it seems that its much harder to breathe while swimming in warm water. But too cool is also hard to breathe in.

  3. I don't know what the temperature of the Olympic pool is. However, temperature does affect the speed of swimmers. A warmer pool makes you swim a lot slower, even if you're trying to go fast your muscles are too relaxed. Pools are usually under 80 degrees (fahrenheit) for competition.
