What is the temperature scale on the thermometer when Celsius and Fahrenheit are numerically equal?

  1. Assume :

    XF = Numeric Fahrenheit

    XCo = Numeric Celsius

    Using the equation :

    (XF-32)*5/9=XCo

    But  XF = XCo

    Then (XF -32)*5/9= XF

    Then  XF = 32/0.8 = -40 = XCo

    for sure its -40


  2. They are both the same at -40, i.e  -40F = -40C.
