What is the tension on the chain of a 2004 Triumph daytona 600 supposed to be?

I think my chain is kinda loose, so if anyone can tell me how tight its supposed to be, please let me know!

I don't think half an inch is enough, I have a Speed four which is the same running gear as the daytona. I have 25mm slack whilst sitting on it, it really helps if you get some one to help you.

Make sure you test it at various points in the chain as like has been said chains wear uneven.

Sit on the bike as well as it will tighten the chain with your weight compressing the shock.

wind the back wheel back untill theres about 1/2 inch movement in the chain half way between the two sprockets...

this is at the tightest part of the chain ( chains wear uneven)
