  1. it is not a term, it is a proper noun, the name of a city, nothing else

  2. Well, if you are wondering how the City got the name St. Louis it was named after King Louis the IX of France.

"He is the only canonized King of France and consequently there are many places named after him, most notably St. Louis, Missouri in the United States."  Taken from wikipedia.  If you want more information about him, you can find it there.  I honestly didn't know much about him other than that he was the namesake of the City and that there is a statue of him in front of our Art Museum in Forest Park of which I also included a picture link below.

  3. St Louis Gateway to the west is the 1 im familar with.

  4. its a city in missouri.

  5. I live in St. Louis and quite frankly I've never heard this term mentioned. St.Louis is a city and is located in America so it would be accurate but in no way describes anything special about us.
