I'm 16 and have been trying to think of possible careers.

I really enjoy learning about Dinosaurs and fossils so I was wonder what the proper term is for people who study that stuff and study dinosaurs, so I can research it.

  1. Paleobiologist.

  2. Paleontologists study dinosaurs and their history by examining ancient fossils.

  3. It's called paleontology.

  4. Paleontologist

  5. Paleontologists find fossils and put them back together. These guys are the meat of the whole dinosaur-times study thing.

Paleobiologists theorize about how dinosaurs and other extinct fauna (animals) may have lived.

Paleobotonists theorize about extinct species of plants.

Paleoentimologists specialize in preserved specimens of paleolithic bugs (like the ones trapped in amber on Jurassic Park)

It's all a very fascinating study. I bet there will be a new field soon - of people dedicated to re-building dinosaur life with computers using 3D animation. That seems to be a fairly common way to teach other people what theories the scientists have come up with regarding behavior and other such things. :)
