  1. Convection. Convection is heat transfer through any medium, but this medium cannot be solid. Convection is heat transfer through fluid, air, etc. Conduction, on the other hand, is transfer through solids.

  2. Convection:  If a liquid or gas is heated it becomes less dense and rises, carrying the heat with it, and as it moves away from the heat source it will start to cool again. Colder liquid or gas sinks down to the heat source and gets heated in turn, thus transferring the heat through the gas or liquid.
