Miracle. that is probably one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. the end games are just so intense, & the characters really resemble  who they are supposed be.

Slapshot is also great. it's hilarious. I also love the Mighty Ducks.

For me it's Net Worth, followed by The Rocket, Slapshot is ok. I agree with Andrew V's assessment of Youngblood, that was laughable. I heard Les Boys was good I've never seen it.

The Sweater is good but it's an animated short rather than a movie.

I'd have to say the best hockey movie I've seen is Miracle.  The story is obviously an amazing one and the movie itself was well done.  I know many non-hockey fans who enjoyed the movie.

On a sentimental level, the three Mighty Ducks movies are great.  Sure, the actual hockey in them is terribly unrealistic, but they were still very fun movies the young hockey fans will love.

The Rocket, which I have yet to see, is one I'd also look out for.  I've heard great things about it.  Eventually I guess I'll have to do an online rental thing so I can see it, since it's not a widespread movie in the states and I don't really want to buy it having not seen it yet.

The Rocket. Phenomenal. It plays out like a Hollywood film (except it's in French) but it's actually a Canadian indie.

Slap Shot....hands down. If one is making a movie about hockey you might as well make it a comedy because NO acting will EVER match the real life emotion...skill....hurt...guts...determi... etc of a real game/player.
