You know, that epic Medal Ceremony music they play? What's the name of it and who is the composer? I checked the website and read about it but still don't know the name.

And the NBC Olympic Theme that they play when they go in and out of commercial?

Where can I find these two on the Internet?

  1. That is national anthem of a person or a team winning gold medals

  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-6gKkxCG...

this was just added to youtube today...i believe this is what you are looking for.

  3. The medal ceremony music is called "Jasmine Flower" by Tan Dun and Robert Wells... unfortunately I can't find it anywhere (I found this question by searching for it).

The NBC Olympic Theme is "Olympic Fanfare and Theme" by John Williams, sometimes called "Bugler's Dream." I don't know where to find it, but I know it's available, because I have it.

  5. I'm guessing that for the medal ceremony music you mean Molihua (it means Jasmine Flower in Chinese) as it was arranged for the Olympics by composer Tan Dun. The linked official video shows the orchestra during their practice/recording session.  My link from Facebook is the same link appearing in Mike M's answer.

As for the music NBC uses, they have actually merged two pieces together as well as using them separately.  The first is "Bugler's Dream" written by Leo Arnaud and currently is a frankensteined version conducted by John Williams and Arnaud.  The second piece of music NBC uses is "Summon the Heroes" written and conducted by John Williams.  The YouTube video link I posted contains both music pieces as a background to various Beijing Olympics photos.

  6. You can find a short video of "Jasmine Flower" from Tan Dun here:

With some software you can record it directly.
