  1. Control your breathing

    make your stance steady

    eye control

I am expert marksman and only have vision in one eye, so it can be done

  2. Breathe, Relax, Aim, Squeeze, Fire.*

  3. I'll give you four. Hold the grip of the pistol in the web of your hand so the barrel lines up with your forearm and the front sight lines up with the tip of your elbow. Bring your little finger down when you grip the pistol so it rests on the bottom of the grip. When you squeeze the trigger, just use the nail area of your finger and press it slowly. As you aim, focus on the front sight with the bullseye resting on the top of your front sight and make your trigger squeeze. Good luck.

  4. breath control, steady pressure on the trigger, and a solid rest.

  5. First  --- Forget paper targets.....

Have somebody in a metal shop make up some metal target plates.... I had a sheet metal shop make some 8, 12 and 15 inch steel plates 3/16s inch thick.... hang them up at 20 and 30 yards.... I know that's quite a distance for a pistol but trust me on this.... After a few sessions you will have no trouble hitting them.... They are reactive... You will hear them go pling when you hit them and see them move.... None of this walking back and forth nonsense to see if your hitting paper....... With metal you will immediately know....

  6. Bench rest with a rest is one of the most stable platforms to shoot from.  Control the movement of the firearm is half the battle.  Sight alignment is important as well as trigger pull.

  7. Two hand grip. If right handed then the left hand cups the right hand and point with you left index finger at the target. Relax, control your breathing, take one more breath let it out and squeeze the trigger.  If done correctly the firing of the pistol should almost surprise you.  Take a good NRA sponsored pistol course, check with local gun clubs for ranges and instructors.  Practice, practice practice. Good Luck

  8. Trigger control.  Master the surprise trigger break.

  9. Make sure your eye is focused on the front sight. I mean it, it will make a huge difference. You should read these first 4 chapters on this site. Even though it is about rifle marksmanship, you can still benefit from the parts about sight alignment and natural point of aim.

  10. Same as getting to Carniege Hall practice man practice.
