What is the time difference between USA and Australia?

I live in Australia and am always curious when I comment on an American website and it rates my comment as being posted on 2 or 3 a.m...just wondering how many hours we are apart??

It depends on where you live in Australia and where you want to know the time in which US city.   They both have several time zones each.

Assuming that you live in Eastcoast Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane etc) and refering to Eastcoat USA (New York, D.C, Miami etc)

then when its 8pm in Australia, it will be 5am in the morning in America. America is 15 hours behind.

I think the US west coast (Los Angeles) is aroun 10-11 hours behind.
