  1. Hi Jeter!

Most of Mexico lies in the Central Time zone.  It's one hour behind the eastern US.  When it's noon in New York, it's 11:00 a.m. in most of Mexico.

Some of northwestern Mexico and the southern half of Lower California are in the Mountain Time zone, for instance Cabo San Lucas.  There, it would be 10 a.m.

The Tijuana area lies in the Pacific Time zone, where it would be 9 a.m.

In summer, the state of Sonora stays on standard time while the rest of the country switzhes to Daylight Saving Time.  In winter, Nogales and Hermosillo are two hours behind New York, but right now, in summer, when it's noon here in New York, it's 9 a.m. in Hermosillo and Nogales.

  2. Which part of Mexico? It's in more than 1 time zone.
