My "husband" and I were married 3 years ago, but after we were married, I found out he had a hardcore crack addiction. We were only together a few months after we were married, he took off way over 2 years ago and I haven't seen or heard from him since. He has no contact information, I heard from his family he is living on the streets in Florida. I'm in California, what are my options? How do I divorce him?

  1. look up uncontested divorce, i believe that it might be too late for an anollment, but if you have no children, and no property together, then you can do an uncontested divorce, i dont know how it is in CA but in NC its a 300 fee, and they run an add in the paper, and if he doesnt respond within 30 days the divorce goes through. you might want to try that.

  2. Four years for fraud, force, and physical incapacity.   I don't believe you qualify for an annulment unless he has a record that you didn't know about.  It should be relatively easy for a divorce on the grounds of abandonment.
