  1. Are you asking the timeline to become one?  

    Well let's see...

    It might be along the lines of this:

    Four years of college or time at USAFA.

    Six months to a year following commissioning spent as a casual LT.

    One year spent at UPT, six months of which flying the T-6 and the last half flying the -38.  Another few months or so waiting around for an Intro-Fighter Fundamentals (IFF) slot to open up.  Another six weeks or so at IFF.  And then finally thee-six months at Replacement Training Unit (RTU) before you are ready to go to your operational squadron.
