What is the title for a pre-med major?

i'm going into college fall 09 but i don't know what to declare - i want to become a medical specialist (lymphologist or endocrinologist) but i can't find a necessarily 'pre-med' major. is it just biology, and then you declare more specifically in grad school? biophysics?

at what point is it clear that you're going into the healthcare industry as a doctor?

There's no pre-med major, it's a series of courses.  You can take pre-med and major in anything you want.  Keep up a good GPA (>3.5) and apply to medical school.

some schools have pre med, but i guess yours doesnt.  most pre med folks major in biology.  talk to your advisor about it for more detailed advice.
