What is the title of the position of someone in charge of a stable? Not groom, stablehand thanks?

this position was used much more in older times when people had an estate with housekeepers, groundskeepers etc. it is not stable hand or groom or barn manager. been driving me crazy trying to think of it

  1. Stable Master. Head Groom would be the person in charge of the horses.
