  1. aprilia, just is!

  2. For the third year in a row now it has been the Honda. for 250's and 450's.

Transworld Motocross magazine has a test on it every november for the upcomming year.

Honestly, if someone says anything else they are lieing.

  3. The best advice i can give you is.....Re-post your question (Cars & Transportation - Motorcycles), You will get more informative answers there.

  4. Probably Honda or Kawasaki.

  5. Honda or Yamaha

  6. Taking overall honors in the motor category is the electric-feeling CR250R. With a broad spread of power throughout the RPM range, the CR isn't necessarily the most powerful of the bunch, but it is the easiest to ride. No matter what gear the transmission is in, a quick stab at the clutch lever is all it takes to bring the Honda motor to life. Furthermore, the motor is equally effective whether it is ridden in a tall gear and chugged around the track, or revved out and abused by an aggressive rider. Transmission action is flawless and several testers raved that the CR's clutch is by far the best they've encountered. The new Yamaha YZ250 powerplant is our favorite Yamaha motor in years. The YZ motor is more aggressive than the Honda's with a hard hit down low, beefy mid-range and great top-end overrev, but it simply didn't run as clean and crisp as the CR's in all conditions. Additionally, we've found the YZ motor to be more sensitive to altitude changes than the CR's. Clutch action was good, but some testers felt that the shifting action of the YZ was a little notchy in comparison to that of the CR and Suzuki RM. Other magazines have criticized the KX250 motor for being slow, but we beg to differ. The Kawasaki powerplant is just as good as ever, with a quick-revving yet torquey powerband. Low-end punch and mid-range pull is right in there with the red and blue bikes, but the Kawi motor tends to rev out and flatten out a little earlier. Still, grabbing the next gear will keep a KX pilot right in the hunt with Honda and Yamaha riders. In the past, we've encountered lots of missed shifts with KXs, but this is not the case in '01. The Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki motors are all very, very close. In fourth sits the new Suzuki RM250 motor. In our initial test of the new Suzuki we complained that the motor boasted great low-end and good mid-range, but was in serious need of more top-end power. After sucking dirt and ruining our original test bike's engine in the red dust of Hawaii, we took delivery of a new test bike for the remainder of the season. Apparently, our original test bike was one of the first bikes to roll off the production line, and was air freighted to America for our early press introduction. After we complained of our RM's lackluster powerband, Suzuki looked into the problem and found some flaws in the production line. As a result, our second bike-and most of the production machines that reach U.S. shores-does not suffer from the same anemic powerband. Though the motor still lacks top-end overrev, the power output is noticeably improved. Unfortunately, when asked to rate motor performance alone, the Suzuki sat fourth behind the Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki

  7. What type of bikes ?

    MX / MotoGP / Road ??????

    Please add more details.

  8. are you looking at a 2 stroke or a 4 stroke?

2 strokes are a dying breed. Honda has already stopped making them, and Kawasaki is about to stop making them. Yamaha and Suzuki still make them, but have not done much to them over the past few years, but KTM still seems to make a great 250cc 2 stroke machine.....

as far as 4 strokes go, any brand 250cc 4 stoke is a good choice........it all depends on what color you want....

  9. probaly kawasaki,honda or yamaha

  10. Kawsaki.

  11. Kawasaki has one best in class for the 250 four strokes for  a couple years now.

  12. You can buy a magazine that has a test of the best 250's and read all their wisdom and deside which suits your skills and riding terrain best. Any bookstore should have several magazines to choose from.

  13. I guess that would depend upon what country you are in.  Where I am I would have to say Honda, followed closely by Yamaha.  Or at least that is the most popular, but if you want to look up statistics then I suggest you just google some reviews on the bikes to find out for yourself.
