What is the top graphing calculator i can get? ?

  1. The TI-89 Titanium is the best for advanced mathematics, such as calculus, and science.

    It isn't allowed in all earlier classes such as algebra though, as it has CAS (Computer Algebra System) which can solve the majority of expressions and equations in those classes merely by typing them in.

    If you are in such classes, you would probably be okay with just a two-line calculator unless your class specifically requires a graphing calculator. If it doesn't require it or isn't going to do anything which graphing could help with, then it's kind of overkill.

    If you really must have a graphing calculator and aren't allowed a TI-89, tthen a TI-83/84 would be best. They're all almost exactly the same, so just get the cheapest one you can find on a site like ebay.

    (Note: The TI-85/86 would often be allowed on tests that the TI-89 wouldn't be, but they are not much better than the TI-83/84 and yet are much harder to use.)
