  1. over a fiver.

  2. YOU NEED TO KNOW THE SHOE POOL MONEY BET

  3. Each way would be a quarter of the odds and therefor only give you £12.50 back.

  4. You would get £16.25 as a 12 horse race is 1/4 odds.

    To work it out:

    Divide 9 by 4(quarter odds) = 2.25

    Add 1 = 3.25

    Mulitply by Stake £5 = £16.25

You only multiply by £5 because you only had place odds.

  5. it would be 16.25 if its a 1/4 of the odds n 14.00 if a 1/5. trust im a manager of a bookies

  6. Hi...the return would be either £14. or £16.25...this because you only get a fifth the odds in a 12 runner non-handicap/stakes race or a quarter the odds in a handicap race

  7. 16..25 is right heres a good site

  8. £11.25 plus £5 stake returned so you should have got £16.25 in your hand.

  9. depends on how much money was on the other horses who finished first and second...

the pool for third place is split between those - in North America this is the "SHOW POOL".. not sure if they call it the same in the UK or not...
