I'm getting a visa to visit Saint Petersburg on a cruise. The visa application form asks for a tourist group reference number on question 16. Do I need to fill this out if I'm traveling to Russia on a cruise? If so, who do I get this number from? I booked my cruise through a travel agency. Will they have it? Thanks for your help.

  1. I have just been to St Petersburg on a cruise and only needed to fill out a passport card on board the ship to get through Passport control on the dockside.  ( I am from the UK, but I am sure the cruise ship arranged a block visa for the passengers who were going on the excursions)

We sailed from Dover on the Norwegian Dream.

I am sure that you only need to apply for a visa if you intend to travel independently (again UK advice).

    Check with the cruise line.

Enjoy your cruise, St Petersburg is fantastic.
