  1. Im from the U.S and i lived in Shepparton for a bit

    Its a great place

Not too big but not too small

And the people are really friendly

  2. Its actually pretty big for a country town. But saying that it is a country town. I have cousins that live nearby. It can be pretty rough at night time. They are boys and they are not allowed to go in there at night. But during the day it is fine. The people there are friendly and the town has everything you need.

Just hopefully you make good friends there because you will get bored eventually. Its like a three hour drive from Melbourne. Even more to the city.

  3. Shepparton is a country town, that is small and about 2.5hours away from Melbourne City. The area is mainly known for its fruit and there is also some dairy industry in the area. It would be advisable to check on the job front first, as it can often be difficult to get work in the big country towns as lots of people will be coming in from the small towns. From Shepp you are well placed for the start of the Vic wine region as well. And approx 2.5hours from the snow fields (Only in July/August).

Shepp is nice as I think has a Uni campus. I have only been a few times but it is rural not suburbian.

Below is a website for an Estate Agent that I have used will give you an idea of what the houses are like and price. Living in country is cheaper than Inner Melbourne but there is further distances to travel and so your fuel costs will be higher.

Shepp is a great town, as long as country is what you are looking for.
