It was like an egg timer but instead of sand it was ink that looked like little droplets, but also had water in it. you could get different coloured ink and different versions, some had a wheel in them and the ink droplets dropped onto the wheel and spun it round. oh and They were big in the late 80's early 90's. oh, and no matter how much you shook the toy, the ink and water wouldnt mix...?

I think this is what you are looking for:

  2. I know what you're talking about! I used to have a bunch, but have no idea where they went! They helped relieve headaches and calm you...I think they're just a different form of a timer.

  3. I think I know what you mean. I had one where the oil was sitting at the bottom of this see through container and then you would turn it up side down and the oil would go through these little holes and on to the wheels. You could shake it and the oil would turn in to tiny bubbles but eventually would go back to it's original form. I can't remember what they were called.

Looking at the Chris W's link. This is what it looked like.
