  1. Tea Roses in a round vase?

  2. Bread is one tradition for a housewarming signifying that there will always be "plenty".  But there are a lot of good housewarming gifts.  Homemade food, a plant (indoor or outdoor), take out menus to the local restaurants in a nice container, gift cards to local businesses, home decor item or holiday decoration, or a promise to show them around town once they're settled in.

  3. What else is more appropriate than something for the wall. Try http://www.paintyourlife.com They can make all types of personalised portraits on oil, charcoal or on canvas. Also check out www.photo-print-on-canvas.com

  4. Traditionally it is usually Bread, Salt, and Wine. I have found that most folks like receiving unique gifts. Something that shows you put some thought about the person into it.

If you know of an item that this person happens to need for his/her home that is always a good and thoughtful idea. If you don't then a little something to add to an already exisiting collection could be a nice alternative. No collection? No problem. Try to find a candle or bath set with a soothing scent.

  5. I plan on buying my brother a bunch of hanging house plants for his new townhouse this weekend.  When I bought my home, he bought my some large artificial plants because I kill live ones!  Lol!

A bottle of wine is nice if someone does drink alcohol.

A basket of breads, cookies, muffins, pasteries are sweet.

Perhaps a coffee/tea gift basket if they drink coffee or tea.

Maybe a cluster of picture frames to hang up in the new house.

    Good luck!

  6. According to Biblical Folklore. Bread, Salt and Wine. The most important needs in Life.

  7. Bread and salt are a traditional gift. I like to find a nearby bakery for fresh bread, and some gourmet salt (like sea salt).

  8. Alcohol

  9. A bottle of wine or something you baked.
