What is the tragic love story that ends with a letter that says without your love i will die?

there are many versions of this but my favorite is the one where this couple is on the ride home the guy is driving down the rode the girl is very quiet he asked her what was wrong she tells him she doesn't love him any more a tear runs down his cheek as he hands her a letter out of his coat pocket and in that instant a drunk driver runs into the drivers side of the car killing him instantly and she finally opens the letter and it says without your love i will die does any one know this story and the other versions of it plz post
